Marryat

Marryat has developed a new generation of anti-reverse reels, combined with direct drive capabilities. These unique fly fishing reels are lightweight, using Swiss technology for the least amount of moving parts and the highest amount of reliability. Other reels can be heavy and clunky, pulling your attention away from where it needs to be. Marryat reels are easy to use with a simple squeeze of the fingers, keeping the fisherman’s focus in front.

Marrayat was named for George Selwyn Marryat. Born in either 1840 or 1841, the Englishman is regarded by many as the most talented dry fly fisherman the world has ever known. He died in 1896 and is buried in Salisbury cathedral. The company has offices throughout the world, including Switzerland, England and France. They can be found at Marryat Fly Fishing Reels and also sell rods, fly-tying equipment and a variety of fly fishing accoutrements.
